Vision and Values

St Aidan’s Church of England Academy is a Christian learning environment at the heart of its community.

One Vision

Life in all its fullness. John 10:10.

One Mission

Valuing all, we will equip those in our community to discover their unique worth and fulfil their calling

One Challenge

Faith without action is dead. James 2:17. So, what is your action going to be?

One set of Values

The Fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22.

The fruits of the spirit are the foundations from which every aspect of St Aidan's is built upon.

Our core Christian values at St Aidan's Academy are:

Care

To provide what is necessary for the health, welfare, maintenance, and protection of someone or something.

“Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.”
Philippians 2:4

Respect

To admire someone or something deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements.

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.”
Matthew 7:12

Honesty

To be honest and fair towards someone.

“For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of everyone.”
2 Corinthians 8:21

Generosity

To show a readiness to give more of something than is strictly necessary or expected.

“One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what they should give, and only suffers want.”
Proverbs 11:24

Selflessness

To be concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with your own.

“Love your enemies and do good and expect nothing in return, and your reward will be great.”
Luke 6:35

Forgiveness

To stop feeling angry or resentful towards someone for an offence, flaw, or mistake.

“Be kind to one another and forgive one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32

Integration

To bring people (or groups of people) with particular characteristics or needs into equal participation in a social group or institution.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”
Psalm 133:1

Reconciliation

To restore friendly relations with someone.

“Blessed are the peacemakers.”
Matthew 5:9

These Christian core values are reflected in the behaviours and habits we aim to see every day within our Academy.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
(1 Corinthians Chapter 13, verses 4 - 7)
