Any pupils not making the correct choices, consistently, would be placed into our inclusion unit. This would be communicated with parents. Pupils follow bespoke learning packages based on the areas in which they have made the wrong choices. Pupils must then complete the work they have missed at home with their parents and bring it back into school the following day.
Pupils are always given the chance to reflect and try again; however, should more specific intervention be required pupils can access our School Within a School programme.
This provision has both entry and exit strategies and requires full communication and support of parents and carers. Teaching staff work with each pupil and work is bespoke. Staff, pupils and parents are aware of strategies for successful re-integration. Pupils have been incredibly successful following their return to mainstream academy life.
