School Trips

The academy recognises that trips and experiences outside of the classroom are an important part of a student’s experience at school. The academy offers a range of trips and student experiences that link to learning in the classroom and also trips that reward students for positive behaviour for learning and attendance.

Students will attend subject specific trips for example KS4 students will visit Denby and Whitby as part of their Geography GCSE field work. KS4 students will go to the theatre to see An Inspector Calls. KS3 students will have the opportunity to attend numerous STEM events throughout the year these will allow students to explore career pathways in STEM.

Behaviour for learning and attendance trips include trips to the cinema, bowling, a visit to the Metro Centre and Light water valley.
